The bed draws its shape from the ever-present arches of the fort’s architecture. The arched headboard and half-sphere shaped legs are sturdy and overscaled, imparting a heightened sense of both comfort and stability. We designed this piece using traditional Balkan joinery techniques whichavoid the use of nails and screws. Constructing the piece with only the organic timber and no additional metal means a small but significant step towards a more sustainable product. A pocket spring mattress sits within the bed frame, ensuring the ultimate resting experience. The bed has been produced with customised arch headboards, differing in size and shape depending on the room category.
